A touch of autumn in your cup

From the moment the leaves fall from the tree and the air starts to get cooler, all we crave is a warm beverage of our choice.

The famous Pumpkin Spice Latte is perfect for the autumn season and gives me an incredibly cozy feeling every year. And so that you don't have to order from your local café every day, I have the perfect homemade recipe for you. 

It's easy, quick to make and super delicious!

What does the Pumpkin Spice Latte taste like?

If you love cinnamon, this recipe is definitely perfect for you, but it's not just cinnamon that's a prominent flavor component in this recipe, but also the pumpkin, of course. The flavor of this coffee specialty also reminds me of gingerbread and speculaas biscuits because of the spices it contains, which really give the winter flavors meaning.

What you need are only 6 ingredients:

Milk - Use your milk of choice. I use oat milk because it adds an extra sweet note.

Espresso - Here you can decide how much coffee you want in your Pumpkin Spice Latte. Personally, an espresso is enough for me.

Pumpkin Spice Seasoning - You can buy the spice mix ready-made or of course simply make it yourself.

Pumpkin puree - You can buy it, but it's also super easy to make yourself. All you need is a Hokkaido pumpkin. A little tip: You could also look around in the baby food section. There are small jars of pureed pumpkin there, even without any additives.

Sugar - Since the pumpkin spice latte should of course be quite sweet, a little sugar can be added. I personally do without this ingredient, otherwise I would use brown sugar.

Pumpkin syrup or vanilla syrup - a small amount is enough. 

Preparation method: 

Step 1: Mix the espresso with the sugar, pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice.

Step 2: Froth the milk and stir in the espresso mix and then fill the cup with the milk foam, or optionally with a little cream. Then add a dash of the syrup and you can enjoy your warm drink.
