Keep your mind alert with these tips

Keeping our minds healthy and alert. Do you want to know which supplements are best for brain health or the benefits of neurofeedback?

We at MANIA have the answers.

When I recently read an article about brain health, my curiosity was piqued. The headline "The Biggest Threat to Our Brain Health" immediately caught my eye. It particularly addressed the high levels of stress and anxiety and the little things we can do in everyday life to support our brain health.

Our brain works like a high-performance computer and constantly needs energy and nutrients to function optimally. It "budgets" essential resources such as glucose, water, salt and oxygen to control all bodily functions. However, when we are under stress or anxious, the use of these resources increases. So let's imagine that our brain has a bank account, and every stressful situation or sleepless night is a withdrawal. If we don't make enough deposits - through adequate sleep, healthy eating and hydration - the account can slip into the red. Over the years, these small deficiencies can lead to bigger problems, such as reduced memory performance or a higher risk of diseases such as depression and heart disease.

But the good news is:

Small, regular payments such as getting enough sleep, drinking enough water and managing stress can keep the brain healthy and efficient. This way, our "brain bank account" always stays in the black and we can stay mentally fit and alert.

So here are three things we can do right now for better brain health:

1. Get enough sleep .

Getting enough sleep is important because it regenerates the brain, improves cognitive functions and promotes emotional stability.

If you don't get enough sleep on a regular basis, your body will eventually become exhausted and you will no longer feel rested, even if you sleep well.

3. Dietary supplements

Supplements such as Omega-3, vitamin B12 and magnesium support cognitive function and the nervous system, which is why these supplements should be indispensable for us in everyday life.

2. Drink enough water.

Hydration is extremely important for brain health. As with sleep, the amount of water that is adequate for you may be different from another person's ideal amount.

However, the recommended daily amount is 2-3L, which we should definitely stick to.

Little tip: If you are tired in the afternoon, it is much better to drink a glass of ice water than a cup of coffee.

In fact, our MANIA Energy Pearls have a positive effect on personal well-being and can take your energy levels to a whole new level. The Energy Pearls can easily be integrated into a reflective drinking bottle, which also helps you drink more fluids throughout the day.
